Hi, I'm Ryan.

I spend my days taming networks and building automation pipelines, because if it can be manually configured, it can be beautifully orchestrated.

Most of what I build starts in my homelab: a Proxmox cluster, K3s, a FortiGate, UniFi, Starlink, and more dashboards than anyone needs. When something there takes too many clicks, it usually becomes an MCP server so I can ask Claude to do it instead, or an automation that does it on a schedule.

I write it all up at ry-ops.dev: 241 posts so far, including the parts that went sideways. I communicate in CLI commands when verbally challenged.
